1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
As a marathon runner, a 3X EMMY-nominated tv news anchor, a non-profit founder and a professional baker, I understand the importance of a strong work ethic, determination and tenacity.
2. What is the strangest thing in your fridge?
When full potential isn't reached. Often, we see a person that may not live the life they could have due to a lack of effort. I believe in doing everything with ambition, a full heart and always aiming high.
3.What’s something you only do when you’re bored?
My notes app on my phone is a great help! I love having a plan to stay on track and am a huge fan of my weekly planner and post-its! I have an incredible support system, like my friends and family, that make sure I'm staying healthy and happy when being committed to various projects.
4.What is a purchase you made that you immediately regretted?
Running and baking! Running has taught me if you don't like where you are- keep going. Running is a mental sport just as much as it is a physical one and I love clearing my mind with a strong run! My second passion is baking and being able to see a sweet treat created from simple ingredients and transformed into something everyone can enjoy is extremely satisfying and relaxing for me.
5.What kind of Barbie would you be?
I'm blessed to already have my dream job as a TV news anchor in my hometown. However, I have many future career goals to include owning my own coffee shop where I'd sell my own baked goods. A ten year goal of mine is to run for public office and become the first female mayor of my city- Edinburg, Texas. To have the opportunity to represent the people of my community, while serving them in more ways than one would make me immensely happy.
